Firmware Upgrade Problems

I am following the directions here:

I should have left well enough alone, but I was having problems with parts not printing to proper scale. So, I decided to update firmware to the latest.
I am getting a G28, Error: Failed to enable endstops
What do I do to fix this?

What happens when you issue an M119 with none of the end stop switches triggered? Test each one - hold an end stop closed, issue the m119 and make sure it reports the right switch as being triggered.
