heated bed not turning on

Post by Lewisgard »

I've have my max functioning for about a month now but still have a few problems to work out. One of which is the heated bed not turning on for about five minute or so after I use repetier-host to control it. I don't think it's a hardware problem because I've tracked the 5v control for the mosfet back to the resister that the micro-controller outputs too. It will just come on and start working. Once it starts working I can turn it on and off without a hitch. The head works fine, the bed did at first too. The last time I tried to work on it I found that I could home the delta but couldn't drive it with g-code commands. The funny thing about that was the position readout on the manual axes would change the amount that I was trying to move it. The position controls and the bed heat seemed to start working about the same time. Any Ideas? Thanks!

It sounds like a communication lag I've experienced using a Mac and RH. I am starting to reevaluate pronterface as host. I've used it for over a year on my H-1 and never had these issues. Might try that. At least it would let you rule out problems with the electronics.

I would say that you are right about the lag but I can turn he head heat of and on without missing a beat while at the same time trying to get something to show any live on the bed heater. I will try pronterface and see what happens. Thanks
