Power supply wiring for new Rostock Max

In step 22 of assembly, it says to cut a green and black wire from the 22-pin plug on the power supply, but I have a 20+4-pin plug coming out of mine, not a 22-pin.

And during the same step it says to find the 6-pin connectors with three black and three yellow wires, I cannot seem to find this either.

What I'm asking is how do I know which yellow and black wires to use? My power supply seems to be a little different than what is in the assembly manual and I do not want to cut any wrong wires.

you can use any of the yellow or black or red wires for that matter.

all yellow are 12v, all black are ground, all red are 5v wires. one green one black will be for your power switch. dont worry about how many pins it has.

do you have a photo of this power supply? maybe they're sendin out different model now?

You can search out the wiring diagram for your connector for installing the power switch to activate the supply. Test the power on with a jumper before cutting your wires to see if the power supply will power on with the wires selected.

One suggestion I would make is to buy extensions for the power supply. I grabbed a 6 pin power extension and a 20+4 pin extension (Amazon, Mouser, Newegg or local - pick your source) and cut those. This made it a bit easier to work on them and has the added benefit of easy power supply replacement in the future. I just unplug the extensions and remove the old supply, install new supply and plug in extensions that are already properly set up.
