I worked hard and paid attention to my build but I missed one small part. I didn't sand the Delta arms so they move smoothly in the side to side direction. This resulted in some gapping issues toward the y axis. It was great in toward the x and pretty good toward the z. Y was way off.
I have all the arms off and have started on the first one. I'll post before and after print pictures.

Okay. I've worked over all my arms and 2 of my u joint things on the carriage. I just have to wire up the hot end again, and I'll get testing. I have put this off for days, but it was only a few hours of work. I found that if I use a cake icing thingy that it was pretty easy to help the arms off the nubs.

Re: I have the blues.. the delta arm blues...
I have reworked all of my arms and ujoints. Everything is smooth and my rostock is much more quiet that it was before the adjustment. I'm still getting some gapping on the top. It seems to start happening after the bridge. I can see that the infiltration layers are not going over to touch the center square.
When others print out the cube with hole, do you print it solid or with infill? I have been doing 20% infill but I will try a solid one tonight.
Any other ideas on what could cause this gapping?

Re: I have the blues.. the delta arm blues...
I was adjusting slicer settings, and I noticed that when I had the extrusion width set to .55mm there was a visible gap in the 3d model showing each layer. I played around with the extrusion size, and when I set it to .5, the gap went away. I'm running a test print right now with the setting. So far, it looks spot on. I know that in the extruder calibration thread it was suggesting to set the width to .55mm. Has anyone else seen this issue?

Either your steps per e or filament diameter is off if changing the nozzle width/extrusion width fills/opens a part up, especially when it's only a .05 difference.

Re: I have the blues.. the delta arm blues...
I will check that tonight. I'm pretty sure my steps are correct based on my testing. It is worth it to check either way. Thx
Re: I have the blues.. the delta arm blues...
How loose are your arms? They should be just loose enough to fall under their own weight (when connected to only one side (I check both sides). Second, it's important that there is no extra side to side play. This *could* be your issue.
I just finished shimming all my delta arms for the last time I hope to remove the excess side to side play on several of the arms. Recalibrating for my new borosilicite glass, and then time to print some more calibration cubes!

I checked and my steps are right on. I decided to do another small, think wall print. I created this 20mm x 20 mm x 10mm cube with 1mm floor and a 1mm wall. It is almost spot on. I need to do a little adjustments, but if I can't get it any closer, I can live with the results.
