Slic3r has been updated on Github a few times since the programs webpage updated the install package. If I want to incorporate the new updates, how do I do that? The files in github don't include an installer or exe file, so it's a manual operation without instructions.

You need to build it, which is not trivial FWIW.
It releases often enough I'd personally just wait for the next release.
