Updated to latest firmware, mechaniq goes banana

hi, i followed the instructions on youtube to update to latest firmware, however, i havnt needed to finetune the printer with the firmware from before, everything worked fine in the mechaniq after the installation was complete for around four weeks ago..
yesterday i updated the firmware and installed the latest repetier-host, however.. i used the G28 command, but it went revesed so needed to shutdown the printer and reconfigure to reverse the Z-X-Y..
I was going to calibrate the printer again, turned on the heatbed and the hotend, went to bathroom, when i come back, the hotend was smoking so i looked at the computer..
- while "heating" it was around 190/200degrees and going slowly up and suddenly it said
- while "idle" it was around 220/200 degrees and ticking up, i turned off the printer because something was wrong..when the meqanic was offline, repetier told me it was 366degrees of 200 ( how is that even possible?)
now the hotend look like a banana and its messed up..need a new one
and i dont know if its mechaniq failure or if its firmware failure or if its repetier failure. Where should i start to look? I dont know if i damage the electronic board, is it possible to run via rambo a selfcheck?
thanks for reply
