Jammed PTC connector

Post by jesse »

Does anyone know how to remove a jammed piece of teflon tube from a push-to-connect fitting?

The tube ripped off right after the teeth and it's stuck in there.

I spent about an hour picking it out. It's a major hassle.

One lesson from this is never pull the teflon tube so hard that it rips off in the connector.

The other lesson not to let PLA melt inside the fitting by forgetting to heat/cool it properly.

FYI, the connectors are about $1.50 on ebay. The tube is about $5 for a meter.

It's a good idea to keep a spare connector if you switch between PLA and ABS.
