Right on I have dual extruders running successfully, sliced with Kiss, running repetier.
Now I just have to mount up dual hotends and I'm golden.
But on the bench I can get both extruders to run and extrude when called upon, both hotends heat and make hot plastic when they are told too.
Now mounting the dual hotends, calibrating the location of each relative to each other, ensuring that both are the exact same height, ensuring that my carriage moves perfectly linear to the bed. So ya, a few things yet.
But functioning they are and it went smoothly and without any real firmware problems or thermistor issues at all. The rambo and repetier were very happy to co-operate with my 1st try at them.
Stay tuned.
I have successfully got dual extruders going.

Are you using the Steve's extruders?
Re: I have successfully got dual extruders going.
I was just for the bench testing but I have decided to go with dual j-heads in the short term due to the smaller diameter of them and having 2 brand new ones on hand currently.
I will be moving toward dual e3d style hotends for my goal however.
