4-axis board woes

Post by tom10122 »

Once again I am having issues with the tb6560 4-axis board. Using EMC2. At first it would skip, literally 1 or two steps at any speed over 1000mm/min this equated to an overall good quality with spots where the walls ever so slighty bend out. To combat the problem I tried the jumper mod, this made it worse. I went back to using the optos a week ago and now, right after I finished printing a whistle. The x-axis doesn't move, the motor is on but it wont move, tried different motors same thing though. Really sick of this board and this is my second one. Help.

You apparently are running an H-1 printer.
The board you are speaking of is and always has been riddled with problems, IMHO your only choice is to
switch to a RAMPS 1.4 or something similar. The tb6560 is not only troublesome but is obsolete. Not many
users of this forum use this board anymore that's why your request for help has not received any answers.
My basic point is you can continue to purchase that obsolete board but as you have discovered that is going
to get expensive. Ramps 1.4 is probably the least expensive of the various boards available and is found on
Ebay in several locations. I wish I could be more help but I ditched that board a couple of years ago and ran
the H1 printer via Ramps until I sold the printer. Best of luck to you and if you can afford it consider replacing
that board.
