New From CT

Post by LorenOlepi »

The good:
I got the Rostock Max and getting close to the end of the build (I think)

The bad:
I just found the forum...go figure!

The ugly:
I'm an aerospace manufacturing engineer and can kick some serious butt in NX cad

Disclaimer:
This will be my first 3D printer so I apologize in advanced for all of the stupid questions I'm bound to ask in the near future

Welcome, I'm almost done with my build, and I too am rather handy with NX. What version are you running?

Silly Question CT as in Cape Town or CT as in Connecticut (perhaps Carbon Terrestrial :) ).
Welcome, Look forward to hearing your ideas and sharing information.
I know you have just got your machine together but check out what Brendin (Xnaron) and Warrner Berry have been up to with replacing the arms, universal joints and end effector http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=54&t=1704
Brendin has gone on to modify his hotend to a heavly 'moded' j-end and replaced the extruder with a much simpler unit.
Yours,
