Just introducing myself. I bought a Rostock Max a couple of weeks ago and been having a blast putting it together. Its my first 3d printer. I'm a Mechanical Engineer and so far haven't had any luck convincing my boss that I need a 3d printer on my desk at work.

I'm still a long ways from getting really great prints off of it but things are looking promising. The only real snag I ran into was getting my abs plastic to stick to my glass build plate. I tried several different kinds of hair spray, and then tried blue tape, I eventually got one print to kinda sorta stick so I let it finish printing. I will need to investigate this further, and find a more reliable method.
I present to you my fellow Rostock Max owners, my first official 3d print: I credit this pretty decent first print to checking all my settings a 1000 times to make sure I already had the correct settings that everyone has had to change along the way. I also credit all the great forum users that have posted their helpful hints and settings that I incorporated.
I always look forward to seeing what you guys come up with for innovations and enhancements to the Rostock, perhaps along the way I can help contribute in that same respect.
