A direct replacement thermistor cartridge finally.

The same guy who I got my heater cartridge off of and the same type seeme now sells finally has a thermistor(like) cartridge available. It's a thread in thermistor with M3 threads.
So hopefully this will finally be the end of the delicate dainty easily shorted thermistor in the hot end now too. Should make the entire hotend much more safe and reliable from it's use.

Is anyone selling a hot end that is tapped for this yet?

He is of course. He has a whole "kit" that has the heatercart, thermistor cart hot-end and wiring with plugs all together. Good guy to deal with also.

The hole in the hotend is the right size for the M3 and can be easily taped by hand. You can get the a metric tapping set from Home depot for under $25.

If you just ordered and they haven't shipped, contact the seller and ask them to modify the order, or cancel the transaction so you can buy what you want.

I almost did, then remembered that I'd just ordered a E3D hotend, and it will have a cartridge heater. I believe I'll be able to use my "extra" thermistor cartridge with that hotend.

Which thermistor do you select in Repetier when using these screw in thermistors?

I _think_ they're just standard 100k thermistors, so you shouldn't need to change anything.

That is correct.
