It's time to see if we can form a crew of delta printer enthusiasts in Southern Cal.
If you're in LA or south, post a reply here or DM me your contact info. I've got one other person (a famous Delta modder) so at a minimum. If we don't have enough, maybe a Google hangout...
Anyway, if you're interested in this group or forming up one of your own in your region, post here.

I copied your idea, accept I'm in Ohio. Hope you don't mind.

Hi John,
Just saw this post. I'm in Ventura CA and can get down to LA easy enough. If there's food served I could probably make it all the way to Carlsbad
Pleased to meet you.

BTW, what's everyone using for design software? I'm new to printing, and AutoCad and SolidWorks-familiar but not capable. I was thinking of downloading AutoSketch 123 Design. Does this work well with the Repetier I downloaded for the Rostock.
BTW again, John. I just mailed off my RAMBo back to SeeMe, the problem WAS the Bootloader. They're going to re-boot. Thanks for your help.

I have a Mac so I'm challenged in a way. I don't want to pay for anything just yet. I've played with Autodesk Inventor Fusion (an unlimited trial version.) I have the Adobe Creative Suite - which will get it out in a format that can be converted to an STL.
I haven't been as productive with the 3D stuff with Creative Suite. I liked Inventor Fusion but find it is limited since it lacks measuring tools after you've drawn something. Also, curved surfaces like elipses are providing to be a problem.
I have tried Blender and may go back to it - since I haven't tried it for a while.

John, I don't know if there's a Mac version, but you might want to try FreeCAD. It's an Inventor-like parametric modeling tool.
You could also try your hand at OpenSCAD...

I'm on a Mac too. After rummaging around for a few hours, I downloaded FreeCad for parts drawing, and Sculptris for freehand modeling. It'll take me a few days to get acquainted, I'll report back when I have a remark. I'm going to try the AutoSketch 123D Catch also, to capture 3D models from photos, unless someone can recommend a better one; there aren't a lot of kind comments re AutoSketch products working with Mac.

Yep, revisiting FreeCad too... Thanks @Geneb!
