EzGroove Hot End Mount Kit + HotEnds.com MK V-BV J-Head

I bought the EZGroove Hot End Mount Kit after buying a J-Head from
http://www.HotEnds.com and then was scratching my head about how to get the brass bowden tube end and filament feeding into it.
I ended up taking the old Steve's Extruder bowden fitting (the one with the notches) and using it. I didn't have the right standoff's but I assume this might work...looks like @SeeMeCNC can get rid of some of their fittings stock...
[Edit: I used some filament to keep the head straight with the bowden "extension" - seemed to work.]
(I thought I would put this up before I let you know how it worked. @Foshon, now I'm paranoid, I'm not sure if anyone else tried and posted this - I didn't find a posting anywhere...lol)

I think the only issue you may have is the filament kinking and jamming along the length of the support. I bought a few from this ebay listing:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/RepRap-3D-Print ... 19ddf2a7c9
I think the only reason they work is that the bowden push fit is different. It allows the PTFE tube to slide completely through to the bottom of the nozzle. When I had jams with a j-head, they seemed to be caused by filament kinking in the space between the original push fit and the hollow hex screw. I used Richrap's mount for mounting the single j-head to the effector. It can be be found here:

I drilled the hole out to the size of the thread valley. I soaked it in acetone for a few seconds and then screwed the push fit in until it bottomed out. After a few minutes the acetone dries and the plastic is essentially threaded. I still have one made up and if my dual extruder adventure fails I will be going back to it.

I see what you're saying.
I saw this part earlier but didn't download it to see the bottom. I like your suggestion.
Clearly I'm not done...LOL

I still like the idea of using that threaded aluminum fitting - so I made this drawing of a tube to fit over the nib of the J-head and the aluminum fitting for the brass fitting of the bowden tube. This only requires one slight mod - which is to run a screw through the top piece of melamine to catch the notch of the aluminum fitting so that it doesn't turn.
Might be cludgy... I'll also try the other stl.

hey john why do this, when you already have an ezgroove mount kit?
edit: oh nevermind ic you needed the bowden adapter to fit it. hhmmmm
I make these for sale if your interested..
http://forum.seemecnc.com/download/file ... &mode=view however I've not tested it with the original jheads, because it was modeled around the ED3 I was using but the ED3 is Jhead type so it should still work...its already drilled and tapped for the rostock bowden adapter

I spent the $9 to see if it might be useful. I can think of 100 variations to this and @foshon's links are good options too.
If your existing head is screwed up and you don't want another, the reality is that you need a working printer - or a friend to print something for you; or alternatively, parts need to be added to this kit to make it support at least a single basic J-Head. Those parts are some kind of threaded shaft to fit over the top of a standard J-Head nib. (or at least that's what I'm calling it.) The shaft should accept the Rostock brass fitting from the bowden tub.
[EDIT: @Cambo3D we were posting at the same time. Is that aluminum piece threaded to accept the brass fitting?]
