So here are some pics of my MAX, as originally built.
My kit came with the wrapper, which I liked, But it seemed awkward to put on and take off. So I tapped all the holes and used nylon screws to attach segments of the wrapper where they could remain in place. I have found that the printing on exterior blue painter's tape comes off and becomes a permanent part of the printed part- not good. I have since changed to the EZstruder, mounted on the top plate. It looks better there but I'm not convinced that it's a better setup. Regards, RichW

Hi RichW,

Finally someone who appreciates my "wrap"! This is exactly how to use it.

We've been using Elmers brand glue stick on a glass build surface. The print sticks great and releases easily when finished. SGraber, of the Goshen Maker Space, originally suggested a glue stick for this purpose. And it works excellent.

Putting an EZStruder up top also allows for a shorter bowden tube.

Great looking build.

Steve

I understand it's closed cell PVC foam board, popular with sign shops etc. One source of black foam board in 1/8" thickness is Tap Plastics. A google search should get you to their website.
