I've been wanting to do something like this for a while. I think it will help with my splitting issue on larger prints. How was it made?

Aluminium tubes, a transparent foil (∑~25€) and some printed parts.

I think if you zoom the picture in you can see details.
What exactly do you want to know?

Don't expect too high temperatures, but a bit more then 20K above room temperature is possible (heating just with the heatbed).
The heatbed heats up faster and I don't have to worry about air flow around the printer anymore.

Do you have the STL's posted somewhere for the printed parts? I think this might be my next mod.

Those parts look so clean they appear injection molded...

What in the heck is clear foil?

Also, thinking about this a bit more - is there someone that might make curved plexi for cheap? I think that would be the n-stage design.... Great work as usual. You definitely qualify for most modded. BarryBot's your only competitor and I'm thinking that all he's got that is original is the software.

I have found that the words plexiglass and cheap don't belong together. That stuff is expensive! I was thinking along the lines of the clear plastic that you can heat shrink like they
use on windows in the winter.

That's because you're missing a word. Thin plexiglass can be cheap(ish), although that's not considering how much extra you have to buy because it didn't like how you looked at it and cracks. I guess that means they still don't belong together though...
