Making Steve's Extruder quieter on retracts

Does anyone have suggestions for making Steve's extruder (pre-Ezstruder) cold end quieter?
At 55 mm/s retracts, it gets pretty annoying, especially since I have
silencer gaskets on the stepper motors.
I was thinking of putting the gears inside a rubber balloon.
All I hear is chuck-chuck, chuck-chuck, chuck-chuck,
Yes, I have an EzStruder, but I like the pushing power of Steve's Extruder.

Jesse, not sure if you were in the IRC channel when I posted detailed how too's on both silencing this and making retracts actually function correctly, but ndnihil has my values loaded on his machine for some time now, perhaps he can retrieve them for you. If not I will also add some detail on this in the morning.

Would love to see those values, Flateric. ... Been going to the Stampede breakfasts?
