Hey there!

Has anyone tried a Bakeware Cyrstal Quiche Pan as a bulid surface for the Onyx yet?
http://www.kaiserbakeware.com/Cyrstal-Q ... 20400.html
It is 280mm in diameter with a thickness of 3.2mm.
I presume it must be borosilicate glass.

I think I'll give it a shot! :)

Best regards!

The big question is, is it flat?

I've been just using some random piece of glass from a picture frame. I've been keeping an eye out for a round piece of glass locally but this looks like a decent option. Let us know how it goes Stock!

Keep in mind that 11inch diameter means your clips will have to reach a bit to hold the glass since it's smaller than the Onyx

I ordered it in Germany. 14€ with free shipping..
Maybe there are other producers in the US that sell an equal product..

I think it it as flat as a normal sheet of glass. Why would they try to curve it or whatever..?

Yep, there's a gap of 13mm. But I'll try to find a solution as soon as the pan arrives.

I'll keep you postet!

As it turnes out the diameter is not 280mm as I expected.
It is 263mm..
However, I decided to keep the plate. If it doesn't work, I can make use of its original purpose ;)

The plate is really flat!

I will design a clip to mount the plate on the onyx. This is a little scratch http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:112934, but still WIP.

Have a good one!

Can you take a picture of it on the onyx?
