Rostock plus Extruderbot

Post by doctorgonzo »

I'm working on putting these two together into a single unit...

Think MR Fusion from Back to the Future. Drop in plastic bottles, grocery bags, whatever and print stuff. Any thoughts?

Flux capacitor?

Short of matching up feed speeds or accommodating a mismatch, you're on to something!

So, a process that makes high-quality filament on the spot is required.
Here's a proposed design for a plastic recycler:
1. Vacuum and heat are good for removing moisture and contaminants.
2. A chamber has to be developed for #1
3. An extruder, frame and mount must be printed, purchased, or machined.
4. Flux capacitor, whozzle-wozzle valve and blinker fluid, Madaffle-ator And some gizmo-gadgetronics.
5. Kickstarter
6. Doable.
