Im building a new printer from seemecnc and i just got to the part in the instruction where i test the hot end. i am useing repeater and the hot end is from seemecnc. When i click "heat extruder" in repeater lights light up on the board but the hotend stays at room temp.

Is the hot end plugged in? (-:

Check your wiring.

You should have connected the hot end resistors to Heat 0 at the far left of the RAMBo's top edge.

With the RAMBo switched off, put an ohm meter on the two screw heads. You should measure about 3.2 - 3.5 ohms. If you read zero, you have a short. Check the wires, and also check whether the resistor leads are shorting against the aluminum foil or the aluminum block. If you read open circuit, then you have a broken or disconnected wire somewhere.

Thanks im reading alot more that 3.5 ohms so i must have a bad connection somewhere. Now i remember why i got out of electronics and went back to tool and die. grrr

its the resistors in the hot end. :( all my connections checked out. I should have checked them before i installed them. But that's what i get for taking shortcuts.
