My kit has been sitting at the UPS transfer station for 2 days now... that station is 1.5 miles from my home.
It will be on the truck by 5 am Monday (08-05-13). After the driver makes his whole route, I am one of his last stops.
I guess I'll just wait
I leave for work Tue or Wed, maybe gone a week or more.
Meanwhile in Loxley, Al. I have stopped remodeling my guest bedroom, Just to darn hot to work on it.
So I started building a work station for the kit

Great first moves! I also liked the way you wired everything going to the Rambo.
Nice and neat. Just looking at the wiring shows me that you care how you do things.
Again, a very good build.

While doing the PID config....
I set the extruder, then went to edit the bed pid and RH crashed.
Restarting RH, I can send g28 and also make manual moves.
When I click on firmware eeprom config, RH crashes
I reverted back to a new fresh copy of configuration.h
Restarting RH, I can send g28 and also make manual moves.
When I click on firmware eeprom config, RH crashes.
I uninstalled/reinstalled RH, no joy, same problem.
Could use some guidance on this problem ... please

Thanks

Eaglezsoar, thanks for the thumbs up , lots of hard work went into it

A few things I am sure to change....
I will at some point rewire the whole setup. The Rambo board bay is clean, but hidden in the other bays are the excess length of wire.
also add connectors for the hot end wires.
Magnetic arms! anyone have a set I can buy... NOW

I want to replace the face plate on the LCD, guess I'll print one.
Belt adjusters.
LED's on the effector I'll print that also

Are my eeprom / firmware / config files corrupt?
In RH, after many crashes when I trire to opened firmware eeprom config
It let me in a few times.
I did manage to set the z height max. then did a M500.
I did G28 and the LCD showed the proper z max height. (first time in past 3 hours)
Then I saw this in RH
"Error:Binary cmd wrong checksum."
I got back into Firmware eeprom config. Here is the screen shot.
In green is the number I entered for "PID D-Gain"
But that line says "steps" ?

I would write down the figures you changed and then set EEPROM_MODE to 0 in Configuration.h and reprogram the board. Power cycle it and then change EEPROM_MODE back to 1 and see if the EEPROM table corruption has been fixed.
Also make sure that your USB cable isn't in a position to pick up noise from any AC power cables.

Thanks geneb, I did what you said and all is well
UPS dropped off my Rostock Max 7 days ago,
This is the first "dry-run" it is the calibration cube, just a few cuts from the 15+ min video.
I am so happy at this point!
I'll take good care of my new Aircube!
It looks and sounds good to me.
If you watch the video and see/hear something I didn't .. please let me know.
Thanks to everyone here. I read this forum for many hours.
If you posted a problem or a fix ... it helped me a lot!!
It was sweet watching the hot end charge its way toward the bed and stop then get to working.

I would recommend you get a 3" or so magnifying glass. It's very cool to watch a print in progress with one. Fair warning though, find a comfortable position - you'll be there longer than you think.
