Melted your PEEK because you pulled your thermistor out:(

I think this happens way to often. I feel very strongly that for such an easy fix/assembly step, it causes many vociferous outbreaks and random throwing of objects. If you haven't done it-do it-do it now. Provide strain relief for the wires! I, also in my haste to get this thing printing, did not do this. I was lucky, my thermistor pulled part way out. I noticed a temp change and was able to push it back in and zip tie it during a print. And believe you-me there was plenty of vociferous outbreaking!! The High Temp RTV silicone we use to hold it in-will not! High temp epoxy probably would but changing it out would be problematic. I have since zip tied not only the thermistor wire to the mount, but also all the wires that may get tugged on when the effector gets out to the edge of the bed.

;) Geneb-I'm a big fan-but the two pics in the assembly manual show that thermistor pigtail stickin' straight out to the side. I implore you to take a better pic than mine and show "noobs" the best practice of tying those suckers down! :D If you have done this and I'm just looking at the wrong ver. of the manual. Accept my apology now

(Sorry for the sideways pic  I've tried rotating?)

I didn't include any stress-relief because it never occurred to me that it was even needed. I still haven't figured out how you guys managed to tear the thermistor out of the hot end. :)

I added strain relief on my stock hotend as well. I used a larger connector than necessary because I was too impatient to order smaller ones.

What? Is nobody inviting Gene to our effector hackeysack games?

Sorry, Gene, I'll make sure you get in on our next one.
