How to minimize ozzing?

Before any print job, and in order not to contaminate the bed with strings of oozing filament, I have to always wipe the head as it get hot and ready to print!
So I had and idea - what if I will get the head to heat itself up somewhere on the side of the hot bed so it can freely droop and when the temp is right - do a wipe and then start printing with a clean and primed hot head. Also in the end of every print job maybe it;s a good idea to have the filament retract 5-7 mm so the next time it starts to print the head will not droop as much.
Does anyone knows the g-code sequences to produce these event? (I am not big on G-Code commands)
But most of all - - Is this solution to the oozing problem a good one or perhaps there are other better options to consider ?
Thanks
