Nice, this will increase the print envelope and allow taller prints! The new Trick Laser design does this as well.

I like the integrated belt clamp! Looks like the correct belt pitch too. (not the H1 legacy pitch that's currently on the Max)

Are you going to sell an upgrade kit for those of us with full size Max's?

I don't find a tricklaser carriage, can you link?

It only requires two laser cut plates and the laser cut belt clamp. And yep, the tooth profile is in the clamp. Between the top idler and carriage, about 3/4" is gained.

You could notch the carriage plate and gain a little more, but you're starting to split hairs at that point.

Does that clamp style mean you can't get one side clamped and then do the other?

I think I saw a prototype, I doubt if it's for sale yet... Brian is already probably mad at me for mentioning it. He's gonna come after me with a laser gun on Thursday

Here's a picture of the new arm. NO MORE SANDING THIS ONE! Really nice over the original. The design and improvements in the CNC drilling operation make this a really good stock setup. You can also see the belt clamp improvement for the laser cut carriage assembly. And the 3D printed covers you print yourself if you want them.

Its funny, because you promised no more sanding on the last arms..... not really that funny.... Though I like how you can print the ORION ones, I'm assuming you have your printer rewired now Steve

I rarely say "I promise", but it was a goal. However, I promise these arms DO NOT require sanding.

The new ORION arms prove the design change. We drilled hole and snapped on to the machined universal joint. No sanding.

I'm cutting the Rostock MAX arm mold now. By Monday, 9-SEP-2013, all max kits ship with improved parts. The carriage and platform still require sanding, but soon they will not...

The way you continue to improve the Rostock Max is outstanding. Soon all who purchase the kits will not have to go through the arduous task of sanding
the parts. My hat is off to you for your continued support.

I would suggest offering the carbon arms as a POP upgrade... just my .02...
