LCD to RAMPS adaptor connector misalignment

Hello all,

I have just completed the mechanical and electrical build of a UK supplied Rostock Max with some SeeMeCNC parts, but extrusions and wooden laser cut parts by Creative Machines, the distributor. The kit came with a RAMPS 1.4 as opposed to a Rambo shield - so all in all, the trade off between additional delivery time/cost seems to have been being a little bit behind the cutting edge.

Two issues that I am currently having are:

(1) Finding a version of the assembly manual with the Ramps 1.4 set up and;

(2) Misalignment of the connectors on the Ramps and LCD smart adapter boards - see attached image.

With the long connectors lined up on both boards, the aux3 commector on the ramps board is too far over to the right by around 3 pins. I noticed that in the seemecnc shop, it stated that the adapter would need headers soldering. There were no instructions - please can someone explain if either the adapter or Ramps board need amending?

I believe that the Ramps board you have is not version 1.4
You have version 1.3 of the Ramps board and it will not fit
the LCD adapter. The dealer stuck you with an old version
of the Ramps card. I have enclosed two images, the second is
version 1.3 which is what you have the first is version 1.4
Notice the difference in the connectors at the bottom right.
At the bottom, by the fuses, you should see the version #.

That does not look at all like my RAMPS v1.4 board. That adaptor would fit a 1.4 for sure.
