how to slice a strechlet?

Post by barnett »

How can I slice from an stl?

I've printed over a dozen stretchlets, but I'm always using some gcode I downloaded from this forum. I can't get it to slice in slic3r, kisslicer or cura (newer version). I understand jora was the way to go using the older cura, but now I think jora is not part of the new version.

Get an older version of cura? I'm sure you guys know the answer.

Thanks!

I had the same problem. Cura 12.12A can print the bracelets using the joris option. The first layer speed was 15 mm/s for the first layer (PLA) and 30 mm/s for the other layers.

Are you slicing the solid version or the thin-walled? I slice the solids with Slic3r 0.9.10b just fine.

Thanks for these replies.

I tried slic3r 0.9.9 this morning on a solid one and it worked great. 0% infill, 1 perimeter, no randomize starting point, no z lift, 0 top/bottom horizontal shells.
