Axis not moving correctly

Hello,

New here, just finishing up my Rostock build. I am having issues with my arms not moving correctly, an x or y move will result in the axis moving in one direction as well as in the z direction always in a down motion. Attempting to move up in the z direction results in a buzz noise while moving down seems to work perfect.

http://youtu.be/s_ic46oGnf0 Showing the z not able to go up

http://youtu.be/OS1D9gh_p7g Showing the axis not moving parallell.

Some history:

I am using an azteeg x3 and Viki LCD and the latest repetier firmware, not from SeemeCNC because I couldn't get it to compile.

Where should i start looking to fix these issues?

Thanks

It appears I cant get the motors to move up on any axis and that is the issue. I have tested the motors with the the drive individually using just the standard Cartesian configuration and the motors will spin in both directions without issue. So i know its not a wiring issue or mechanical.

When this happens it's usually because the endstop connectors aren't connected to the right pin headers, or up top, the wire is plugged into the NO (normally open) lug instead of the NC (normally closed) lug. It's a safety feature - the printer expects the endstop switches to be normally closed, so they pass current only when the switches are not being pressed. In this way, the controller knows positively that if the switch is passing current, it isn't pressed and the switch wiring hasn't failed. If it can't verify that it's talking to the switch, it will not allow upward movement in order to avoid crashing the carriage into the top of the tower and grinding the belts to dust.

Thank you.

I figured that out a little later and disabled the end stops and that worked.

Now I have an issue that my z axis moves what appears to be one cm when told to move one km. X and y appear to be accurate. Where can I make adjustments in repetier for movements? I can only figure out how to use the belt and pulley calculator.

Get the endstops working first. It might fix the movement problem. If not, at least you won't have to manually home the machine all the time. That's going to get old fast.
