Hmmmm..... I know during and before the Detroit Maker Faire, SeeMe used the regular white glue stick to keep things on the bed.... I certainly do remember telling them about me using the purple to clear for both ABS and Nylon.... I'm wondering if that's why they made the switch.... Oh and it works pretty well for PLA too, I just get the bed up to 65 and it sticks pretty well.

Normally I use hair spray, but I'm willing to give the glue stick a shot. I use a PVA glue/water mix for printing PLA.

I've been using the hair spray on my ABS prints but it's been failing me on the larger prints. Even with a 6mm brim one edge starts to lift
and it starts to warp. I think my next step is too make up some ABS dissolved in Acetone and try that but I would like to find something else.
Glue sticks don't seem to work very well for ABS, at least for me.

Do you put the glue stick on the cold bed then turn on the heat or do you apply it to an already heated bed?
I've tried the UHU brand without much success for ABS. Anything over a few square inches always ends up
warping. I've even tried 100 degrees on the bed and it still warps. Until I can control the warping of ABS I am
nervous about Nylon.

I apply it cold and then heat the bed up to 110, ABS sticks like crazy and so does Nylon. PLA doesnt stick as well but it still sticks enough. I do have my Z height a lil high though so it prints kinda close to the bed, which helps too. but most ABS parts I cant get off until the glass cools

Everything about the Machine I use is stock except the E3D I put on BTW, still using the 12V PSU it came with, take ~5 min to heat up but I'm patient. in Slic3r I have the first layer height set to .3 as well.

Problem with the glue stick seems to be consistent application. Much like when you were a kid, the dang stuff never seems to go on in one nice uniform layer.

I agree, that's one reason I use the Aquanet hairspray.
