Rostock max hotend resetting LCD panel

I just wired in a new SeeMeCNC Bowden Hotend kit, prior to this the machine was working fine. The system connects to repetier fine and runs basic functions except where the hotend is concerned. The temperature reads correctly but when I try and heat up the hotend I can see the LCD flash with two solid bars as if the printer is reseting. Repetier then looses connection to the printer and I need to power cycle it to get it to reconnect.
As a test I set the hotend to preheat from the LCD pannel. It flashed like it was resetting from there as well but then I can see that the hotend heats up and works properly and starts going to the target temp.
Any idea where the problem is or how i can more closely diagnose it? I have removed the heating resistors and resoddered them with no change to this issue.

You've got a short somewhere. Examine ALL your wiring.

You have soldered your heating resistors? They are to be crimped, not soldered.
It sounds like there is a short somewhere as Geneb has said.

Geneb, you were right, it was a short. I resolved this long ago now but wanted anyone else encountering this issue to know what the resolution was. TY

I'm glad you found the short. Even a single whisker of wire sticking out the side of a connector is enough to ruin your day.
