BIG PROBLEM!!

So I was redoing the calibration steps on my rostock max, when I got to the part where I have to change the printer radius in the firmware I changed the EEPROM to 0 then kept uploading and redoing the towers as needed until I got it correct. When I changed the EEPROM back to 1 and went to upload it the Arduino 1.0.5 software stays stuck on Uploading... and never says Done Uploading, and this is whats in the log window:

Now my Rambo has no firmware and if I unplug the USB to break the connection and try again it does the same thing! Is my Rambo dead? Anyone have any ideas? Im so freaked out right now, I just got this thing built! I didnt change anything in any settings or anything. Please Help me out

If your on a Windows box, reboot. If on a *inx box, make sure you kill the avrdude process. I've see the Arduino IDE do this occasionally on standard Arduino boards in the past.

OK, I am back in business, phew!

I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what could be going on when I remembered I had changed something. I changed this line:

Do you notice what the problem may be there? I was thinking about it for a couple seconds and realized that it was typed in as "RostockMax" and not "Rostock Max" so I figured the problem was the space that I put between MIDNIGHT and DELTA. Sure enough that was it! When I clicked upload this time it went all the way through and said Done Uploading, thank God, I was so scared I had screwed up my board!!

Im happy to be back up and running with my newly configured Midnight Delta!!

That's amazing that one little space could cause that kind of problem. Moral of story, if it ain't broke leave it the hell alone.

I'm going to disagree with you here - that was NOT your problem...
The default UI_VERSION_STRING2 on the ORION is "SeeMeCNC ORION" and it works fine.

Also, the error you posted above is a serial communication issue, this is not caused by spaces in code.
Did you maybe have Repetier Host open and connected to the printer? That's the more likely cause for the communication error.

Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you fixed it and you're back up and running, I'm just telling you, the space in the string wasn't the problem. Feel free to put the space back and you'll see that it's fine.

Forgive me if this is obvious, but I've seen this error a bunch of times and it boils down to one of two issues. One is that the bootloader is gone (or arduino borked), which doesn't appear to be the case and the other is that you have somehow got the wrong Arduino board type selected in the IDE. If you ever see this error again, make sure you have the correct arduino board selected

I'm quite familiar with Arduino, have completed many projects based upon it, I know I had the right board selected, I know it was on the correct com port, and yes Repetier host was in fact closed. These were all things I double checked when I was having the problem. And from turning on verbose mode I could tell that it was starting to upload and something would Make It hang after about 30 seconds. It was uploading fine before I changed that line, stopped working when I had the space in there, then worked immediately after removing th space. Coincidence could very well be the case but I changed nothing else.
