Inexpensive enclosure

Post by jesse »

A 55 gallon clear drum liner fits just about perfectly over the Rostock Max.

I saw some other user created an enclosure out plexiglass and printed pieces.

The bag can keep the fumes and heat more contained. You don't have to seal the power supply and microcontroller in with the build platform.

great idea.
does the warmer enclosed print area help ABS prints not warp so much?

Same questions as Brian and wanted to complement you on an inexpensive solution.

I was going to cut some fancy lexan type deal but I'm going to try this first :)

I have seen a "commercial" 3D printer that featured a heated enclosed build environment. It has active heating and fans to circulate the air, as though it was a convection oven.
