I just sent him a message about the shameful way his forum has deteriorated because of Spammers and I offered to clean it up for him.
Let's see if I get a response.

I use KISSlicer also, it is a really good product. It would be a shame if the developer abandoned it.

He has not been on his own forum since September of 2013. It's beginning to look like it's abandoned. I just hope Jonathan (the developer) is okay.

Yeah, IIRC, before the spam completely took over the boards, there were 3 competing theories as to where Jonathan went:
- Scared off by the prospect of a lawsuit (recent activity by 3dSystems) and abandoned the project
- Personal issues have temporarily taken him away from the project
- He got bored and moved on to something else

A few people said that he had continued to distribute paid license keys, even in his absence. But even the other mod is in the dark about what's going on.

It's a shame, I was able to get some great results out of KISSlicer using McHackney's settings.

It's still a great program and completely usable but the longer it goes without updates and an unusable forum I'm afraid it is going to slowly fade away. I have never seen
any forum so deeply taken over by spam. I was over 30 pages deep in the main subforum and gave up, all the pages were nothing but spam. I cannot understand why
Jonathan would have a moderator of the forum and not give him the rights necessary to clean up and terminate messages and users. None of it makes any sense.

No he did not respond to my email. I am concerned for him what's going on is not typical of him.

I had emailed him a few weeks ago too. I've chatted with him on the phone and in email so have a little prior relationship with him. I have not heard back either.

I hate to think the worst could have happened but it is beginning to look like it. I really hope we find out something soon.
