Cubex will not turn on
Cubex will not turn on
Had a filament flow error. Removed hot end. Cleared jam. Put the hot end back in Amd the printer won't turn on. Red light indicating power on the front LCD is on as well as a red light on the motherboard. But pressing power does nothing. In a panic. Please help
Re: Cubex will not turn on
Firstly, what's a Cubex?
Secondly, did you power cycle the printer and quit and restart your host application? Which host are you using. If you disconnect the uSB cord to the printer will it turn on and can you jog from the LCD?
Are you sure you hooked up the thermistor and heater and properly?

Precisely. Bought the printer on a whim as a first time printer. Nothing but a nightmare. Just googled 3d printer trouble shooting. I'm desperate. This thing will not turn on. Sorry to waste your time. I'll look elsewhere. Cheers
Re: Cubex will not turn on
Oh hang tight, maybe someone will have some experience with the cubex and will be able to help you out. But this is a rostock forum and what they specialize in....Krazykarl wrote:Precisely. Then their website lies.Krazykarl wrote:Their customer support is 8-6 mon-fri.
This came directly from the website: Need support? Call support 16 hours a day at 678-338-3480.
So after you buy one the truth is that it is 10 hours a day.
I also noted that they give a 90 day warranty. How generous, SeemeCNC is a year.
We would offer support if we could but you have to understand that there is no one on this
forum that has even seen your printer. If their support won't or can't help you perhaps you can
get help from the Google group for CubeX users at: https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum ... d-printing
Best of luck to you in getting your machine running again.
Re: Cubex will not turn on
My work bought a Cube-X. I'm actually kind of bummed that they spend so much money on such a bad printer.
Sure, it's built like a tank and the mechanics are truly awesome, but the custom electronics, stupid cartridge system for the filament and the lack of a heated bed are really quite the let-down.
If it was my personal printer I would immediately toss the cartridges and electronics. By a RAMBO or similar board for it and find a way to add a heated bed. Then you'd have a kick-ass printer!
