I'm still sorting out PLA so I printed it out of ABS in the meantime - It's a better material choice for this anyway.

It turned out ok, I was pleased with the minor stringing, but I'm still not happy with the slight gap in the top infill, and the very visible gap in the 'c' clip. It's like it's infill in small areas isn't working quite right.
I'll post this also in the troubleshooting section, so if you have tips on getting slic3r to infill better, put them over there to avoid clogging this section with troubleshooting tips.
The second part is a knife scale for a Spyderco Endura.
Designed the initial shape in Illustrator, then over to Blender for some boolean action, then to print.
I'm not totally happy with this, I really want to bevel the larger holes, but Blender is a bugger and doesn't seem to behave like a 'normal' 3d program. I'm sure it's just my noobness with it... I'm sure I just need to get used to it but I do just wish it worked like 3ds Max
