Why is the Orion using a printable radius of 75?

My Orion has a 200mm heatbed and a 200mm borosilic glass.
There is a white circle printed on the bed appoximately 10mm inside the perimeter of the bed.
Obviously this leaves a little space outside the print area for the binding clamps.
The white circle also seems to define the printable area.
In the setup documentation we are told that the printable radius is 75 which would give a circular print area of 150mm.
The white line defines a circular area of approximately 180mm so my question is why is the printable radius set to 75 when
it seems as though it should be set for 90?
Just call me confused.

Hi Confused! How the hell are ya?
I suspect the reason is that when you get all the way out to 180mm, a delta arm pair is either at, or a tiny bit past vertical.
Move an axis out that far and see what it does.

You are 100% correct. It is physically not possible to print that far out. I will accept it at a radius of 75.
It does say 6" when you buy it. 6" it will be.

I have successfully printed right up to the white circle. In fact, at the first pass, the nozzle actually bumped into one of the clips that holds down the glass plate.
So yes, it is physically possible.
Would I recommend it as a rule? Probably not.
I'd be most concerned about the heated bed still be hot out there. But otherwise it is possible and I have done so.

It was my understanding that the printable area is set at 150 because of the fan mount. I though I saw one of the developers post that the machine is designed to accomodate the 7" but is setup for 6" because of the fan hitting the risers.
Did you have to do anything to force the machine to print outside of the 6" area? It seems like with the correct placement you may be able to use a larger area for many prints provided the spot the fan (or whatever the limiting factor is) would run into an issue.

I'll have to give it a try.
