Saving intermediate file..... FOREVER

MatterControl seems to just stop at the point where status is "saving intermediate file..." I've been waiting for an hour now and nothing......
Any Ideas?

I have had the same thing happen. I assume there is a bug in the software which will be fixed as the software is revised.

I exchanged some e-mails with MatterControl support on this.
The immediate fix is to switch to CuraEngine for the Slicer.
I did a couple of experiments with Slic3r. First, I upgraded from RC3 to Stable. That did not fix the "Saving Forever Issue". Second, I used Slic3r independent of MatterControl. It sliced and wrote Gcode in under two minutes. The printer ran the job just fine. Seems to be an interface between MatterControl and Slic3r.
