If you're curious, I used staples as spacers between the pieces when I painted the edges. It was a nice way to stack them without gluing them together.

The blue edges is a nice touch. It really makes everything pop. Good choice for the edges.

Man that looks slick. Do you have your wiring bundle to the hot end anchored on your X-axis cheapskate?

No, the last picture is with my air-srtuder setup pulled off for some new Bowden fittings.

Hi Jim.
This looks awsome and i would like to do the same with the one i'm building. Are you ok with me being a copycat? Also i read somewhere else someone using a paint which tolerates heat. Is that strictly necessary? Have you used that to? If not do you see any issues with it now that it's been used since april?
Thanks!

Hi Thomas,
Feel free to use anything you like about mine in your own build. I hope you out-do it!
I just used plain old Krylon from WalMart. Primed it first, but there wasn't anything special about the paint. Maybe you'd want hi-temp for the effector platform, but I din't think there's a reason to use it anywhere else.
Make sure to post lots of pictures! Good Luck.

One other tip, put it on thin. Some of the slot and tab fittings are so tightly toleranced that when you add the additional thickness of paint to them, it's really tight. I didn't have any no-go's or real problems, but it was definitely something that I noticed was different between my first and second build.
