I purchased the Orion Delta and three filament types (ABS, PLA and Bridge) to have something to learn with. I use TurboCan v21Pro to develop prints and am learning that as I go.
Initial prints were satisfactory with ABS, went to PLA and the first couple were okay, but then they started getting 'hairy' with fine stringers and on complex models there was lots of 'hanging filament' around and inside, so I moved back to ABS until I get enough experience to be able to figure out what's wrong. I read on one forum that the KISS slicer has some advantages so I downloaded it, but cannot find the .ini files to use to make it compatible with the Delta -- I don't have a lot of time to play around, so will keep looking but if someone has a hint, please pass it along. Enough for now -- I am excited about this technology and learning how to make it work! -

Welcome to the Forum, John.
The Kisslicer .ini files have been posted by one of our users and are found on the Kisslicer subtopic, here: http://forum.seemecnc.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=1452
There is a lot to learn and PLA is especially difficult because of the "hairs".
There are a lot of settings that help like turning down the temperature, retraction settings, etc.
Happy Printing!

Thank you for the link to the .ini files and the information on PLA. I will try some more of the settings when I reload with PLA again.

Hi, John.
I'm just over the hill in Eugene. I bought a MAX kit almost a year ago. Good luck with your new Orion!
