I drew this last night and printed today. Up on Thingiverse now. It is a simple mount for a Smoothieboard. You can screw it to a 15 mm extrusion (like those used on the Mini Kossel) or simply attache the Smoothieboard to protect it.

Real nice... and looks like you're using the same filament that I'm testing now (one that I'm actually having problems with), Filamex turquoise.

I got this filament from Refill3D on eBay. It actually prints like a dream, one of my favorite PLAs.

Posted my connector question on the smoothie google group and the developer answered in 15 minutes - very helpful! Now I am having a connection problem. The smoothen is supposed to mount as a mass storage device and on OSX no drivers are installed. I hooked my board up via the serial port for the first time tonight, see the 4 LEDs light (center 2 licker) and the yellow 3.3v LED lights but the device does not show up in the Finder nor can I connect to it via Pronterface. Posted another question on the google group. Not doing so well getting this one off the ground!

Ok, the guys on the google group jumped in again quickly. Switched to a different Mac and it mounted, came back to my main Mac and it's mounting here now too. Go figure! I seem to be good to go.

Yup, I bought from the same place. Really good price and good reviews, which is why i went for it. I'll have to try again, but the diameter seems to jump all over the place with the spool I got. Love the colors though, I also bought some violet. What temps are you printing at? I played with 195 through 210, and it seemed best at the lower end.

I've bought 16 spools from them including 3 of this color. All have been very consistent diameter. Printing at 185°C at 30mm/s and 190°C up to 100mm/s.

I'll be giving it another try tomorrow. Switched back to Wanhao PLA to check if my belts were off, or if I had any other issues with the printer, still not sure, but I had much better results. I'll re-calculate the filament size yet again, and try your temps. I'd love it to perform, since it's so cheap, and I can't find decent turquoise anywhere else.
