how have you wired your LED ring, specifically the 12v tricklaser ring? I am still building my Max v2 and starting to work on the wiring, and am wondering how you did it. Connect to the PEEK fan harness? Run separate wires from PSU?

If you tie it to any fan, remember it'll only be turned on when the fan is on. So it should be fine for the peek fan. If you give it a dedicated connection to the power supply seperate wires are fine. I put a terminal strip in my rostock so I can easily add/remove any 5V (red wire on the computer power supplies) and 12V (yellow wire on computer power supplies) additions.

To add light to the scene. That is all. Completely optional.

I have a Trick Laser light ring. Cripes that thing is handy. Anyway, after struggling to pass the wires up the cable cover and down the arms, I gave up on it. I wired mine to the peek fan. It's always on when the fan is on or when there is heat to hotend. Works well enough for me.
