I started my build

,had the box for a couple of weeks but needed to gather some courage and a few tools.
Its been a while since i soldered anything so i build a jaycar theremin kit to get my skills up to par first lol.
so here i am at day 3 of the build and am just about to start installing the belts.
Im throwing all picks on my flickr account so feel free to browse.

Hey it's looking sweet. I like the neatness of the wiring so far
Now hook up the theremin to the Rostock so that as it prints it can make beautiful music! I'm serious - do it!
I see a nice kite on the wall, you fly it much? And what's with the 2nd Life apes?

Attaching the theremin lol if i can find a way ill try, I recon the wife will love it
that's my touring kite its been flown all over aus outback bar the western state ,nothing better than a desert and a control line kite when your traveling.
the secondlife stuff is a sideline that keep's a few bills coming in while i have been in house husband mode.
Any way back to the build its going slow today as iv got the child and a cat running interference.

OK

I'm ready to install lcd mounts and rambo.I got the top sorted and even
threw on a spare reel just to test the manual extruder knob lol.
the build was almost held up by a couple of crimp join tube's for the hot end with a public holiday tomorrow
i manage to find a substitute at the local super cheap auto 1 hour before closing time.
Its an enjoyable project to build n I'm having a ball.
the only real drama so far was pulling the thermozister out accidentally while trying to solder those tiny wires.
A quick clean, some new RTV and its back in its socket where it belongs.Phew!

Powered on lcd light's fans running.
I would have had it done earlier if if i hadn't had to tear half my room apart looking
for a tiny hex nut that decided to sprout wings and launch out of my long nose pliers.
anyway I managed to clean up while searching I even found buried treasure Yah har .
of course the nut had ricocheted into my flash forge printer enclosure.

Thanks Eaglez the excellent manual was pretty clear and didn't leave too much to the imagination . Thumbs up to the SeeMeCNC crew.

The gang at Seemecnc are the best people I have had the pleasure to meet.
GeneB is one of the best techwriters that I have seen and although he likes to get under my skin at times, he is like the rest of the gang, damn nice people.

Its the Po Po like siren like sound the peek fan geometry generated, all squares and lines and only a few curves for variance.
not exactly a symphony lol in fact i think the Rostock sings quite nicely on its own .
I'm not likely to experiment too much as its risky business occupying the build space hot spot with an antenna .
I love the printer too much hehe.

That is just all kinds of cool!
Forget trying to make the machine silent, put theremins all over and have some crazy music happening!
That really is awesome
Oh and the build looks great, you happy with it all?

So far I am stoked mate, print quality is awesome with the Seemecnc supplied slicer settings for repetier host.
I'm just looking into tweaking them and aiming for some larger faster prints.
One i get my head around the accelerated settings ill have to set up a race between the Rostock and the Flash Forge

That's awesome that you've got the printer working well!
As for the theremin... it's interesting, but just watching the video made me cringe. Seeing your avatar made me want to cower in the corner and cover my eyes. Creepy as all hell. Just saying.

Yeah the theremin video makes me cringe too
That puppet in the avatar can have that cower effect on small children, its all to do angles of aproach and view lines
I usually take great care to avoid antagonizing the latent Pupaphobe in the audience's.
