Print job stopped cold at M105 *10 request

Not sure why the host decided to check the temp only at exactly 30 minutes into the print job for the first time that I can find with a quick scroll back

I don't understand why the log file is showing the *10 after the M105 request exactly... That doesn't make sense to me as the request seems to be confusing the board in a very big way.

FYI - I have a 12v squirrel cage fan blowing like a hurricane onto the RAMBO with heat sinks on all active driver IC's. This board should be as cool as the veritable cucumber.

Found a setting in Repetier Host Firmware that looks as if it will stop the printer until the user presses a key. I disabled that and I'm going to see if I can make a print go past 30 minutes for a change LOL.

Well that was a bust. Seems as if the program is dying on me via the USB communications, so I'm gonna try this via the SD card and see how that goes...

What version of the firmware are you running?

I think I'm running 0.80 on the Max when I turn it on. It stops consistently on the same exact spot when I try to run it on the same print. To me, that sort of limits this to a full fledged bug of some sort.

I tried printing it via the SD card alone with the computer turned off and it did exactly the same thing and stopped in exactly the same spot as before.

I have V0.95F on my laptop BTW.

I have the 0.91 version of the firmware I downloaded previously, but didn't install it yet because I didn't want to go through the trouble of re-doing my Config.H. Looks like I need to bite the bullet and get it done to see if that fixes the problem I've been having.

Yes 0.8x has a known issue that results in it stopping prints, upgrade to 0.91, just copy the EEPROM settings before upgrading, the SeeMeCNC firmware should be pretty much correct minus the Z-Height and if you have a very early Max, pulley teeth and uStepping.

Excellent advice. I am printing again as I type after following your advice (for the most part). I didn't copy the firmware, but I did go line by line through the entire config.h section copying over all settings that applied from the old version to the new version. Then I saved the results and started printing immediately. I didn't see your advice until just now, but I did more or less what you told me to do LOL. I just did it the hard way LOL.

Z-height seems to have changed a bit since then, so I'll have to set that via EEPROM here in a bit and also make sure the Arduino file matches in case I need to do a further revision later on for some reason. Thus far, the print is looking really good and hasn't stopped at the point that it stopped at before. I'm about halfway through a 6 hour print right now with a 200% feed rate and everything looks pretty good thus far. Slightly blobby, but I expected that. Need to increase retraction just a little bit more and I think I'll be set for this ABS.
