Thought i'd drop by and introduce myself. I'm a mechanical engineer working in Norway primarily with offshore stuff. Moving to project manager position so i figured i'd better get hold of something that could keep my design skills fresh. I came across the Rostock Max at a suppleir who used it for small and cheap prototypes and i love it. So i ended up ordering two complete units, one for the office for the guys left in my department, and one for my house. So I'm the winner who gets two build two machines in a row. (I'll start with the office one first and make all the errors there and tweek my skills before building mine

I'd like to thank every body that has contributed to this forum already as it gives newbie's like me a chance to even get a grip on how this should be done!
I really like the paint job Jimustanguitar did and if you're not offended i wouldn't mind copying that color and do the same! The same supplier i talked about also recommended me bying the carbon delta arms from tricklaser and hotend from hotends.com. I also got the simplify3d software and started playing around with that. Normally i design in Autodesk Inventor, but that might change when moving to a new employer. The license i have now is a home license valid for one year (as we have server license in the office you're granted one homelicense per serverlicense).
Looking forward to get the printer up and running and print some spare parts for my rc planes, i normally do a kamikaze every now and then..
So i guess thats it for now!
