Anyone know of a source for these connectors?

I need the same Molex SL 2.54 mm type in the photo: 5 qty 4-pin, 3 qty 3-pin, 2 qty 2-pin.

If anyone else is interested, I could order extra to form an upgrade kit for RAMBo to Smoothie adaption.

in reasonable quantities - he sells the board-mount headers as well as the matching connectors for your wiring if you don't already have them.

10 of each of those three sizes will be <$10 + shipping.

This post is a great reason for double categories. I would have looked for something like this in a Smoothieboard category.

We also need a sourcing category...way too much stuff out there to buy hidden away in threads.

Anyone know which pins on the RAMBo map to which pins on the Smoothie?

Yes, that's it. The stepper color order should be the same. If it turns out to be "upside down" when you test, you change that in the config file.

The end stops are the only potential problem area as you could harm the board. You have it right in your drawing.

Yep, they ship from just down the road from my alma mater of UIUC in Urbana, IL. So, quick delivery for those of us in the Midwest.

Just letting you guys know that any 0.1 inch connectors like that will work. You can use individual ones instead of 2 or 3 or 4 blocks together. I bought a ribbon cable of those little connectors and they work great for Rambo, smoothie, ect. Make sure you have female crimps too!

I made the adapters earlier today...

Once the 3 pin molex pins come in the mail, I'll solder them on to the MAX endstop holes and give it a try.

The 3 pin end stop connectors finally arrived from China. Took about a month from Tayda Electronics.


Here's what the board looks like with the adapters:

The pins were hot glued against the plastic connectors since they are usually held in place with solder and a PCB.

Someone on the #smoothieboard irc chat pointed out that if you get a Smoothieboard without the connectors soldered on, you can just solder the black connectors directly to the board and save some work.
