Experimental bed cleaning technique...

Lately I've been experimenting with another way to clean the Orion heated bed.
When the bed has cooled I use a razor blade in handle to scrape the bed until
most of the residue is removed. Then I use alcohol pads to clean up the rest
of the purple glue residue and then wipe it down with a Puffs Basic tissue.
I never use the alcohol pads on a hot bed.
I know that the alcohol pads contains 70 per cent alcohol and the rest is water.
After wiping it down till the surface "squeaks" I can then apply another application
of glue for the next project. It seems to work very well and I was wondering if
anyone has tried it.
It sure beats taking the glass plate off and washing it with soap and water.
Any comments:
Take care,
