Collision issue in Repetier-Host

When loading a 260mm round part into Repetier-Host, it gives the Collision X and the part is enclosed in a Square Cube that is obviously outside the circular bed of the Rostock Max v2.
If I Scale the part drastically, almost half size, the "Collision" goes away and the Box is such that it fits inside the bed.
I have a 270mm Printable Bed, and want to print a 260mm Round Part.
How do I do this?
Is it the .STL drawing causing this?
Is there a Repetier-Host setting error? (I am quite sure they are set for the Rostock Max v2)
Should I use another Software? I like Matter Control, but I am not familiar enough with the settings to use it.

I ran into the same problem when I first tried to print the Akemake Spiral Speakers. It is quite frustrating.

I found, with a lot of help from this forum, that a good work around is to just lie to Repetier about the printer. Repetier will believe you and proceed happily along. To do this:

1) Open Repetier.
2) Pull down the Config Tab and click on Printer Settings or press Control-P.
3) In the Printer Setting Window, click on the Printer Shape Tab.
4) Go down to the Printable Radius block and increase the number to a value that will enclose the corners of the part box.
5) Click OK and return to Repetier.

Proceed with Slic3r and if it protests telling you the part is too big, ignore it and tell it to proceed anyway.

Interesting part by the way, what is it?

Hey, thanks...

Well, this will be a scale of a larger model, a sort of reverse impeller. Water will flow over it and turn a shaft to produce mechanical output.

Just another quick question...I'm using PLA and the first layers will require removing the Layer Shroud to prevent interference with the glass hold down clips. I planned to replace them with large paperclips (more than a few) until the layers were high enough to allow the shroud to clear the clips.

Any suggestions or comments on this plan?...thanks

I turn off the "loops". This is done in Slic3r.

Just make sure the nozzle is primed before you start the printer, you can do this by manually turning the knob or gear on the extruder shaft or if you are running from Repetier pushing the Extruder button on the Manual Control Screen.

Is the impeller you design?

For the most part, yes, as per my Client's idea via Phone conversation. I would go into more detail, but I am bound by a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

I noticed something when manually positioning the hot end that may or may not make sense to me. When extended to the maximum on one axis (either one, makes no difference), the nozzle will not extend to the circle printed on the Bed. It seems to lack about 5mm from reaching the point across from, and between, the opposite two axis supports. When the hot end is moved to the extreme outer edge AT AN AXIS support, it does reach. The Bed Circle Diameter measures 180mm (11") but when setting up the Printer Settings in Config, the max Printable Area Radius is suggested to be 135mm (170mm/Dia)...so that would make sense...and I WILL be checking my Max Diameters when doing any prints close to the perimeter of the bed.

Does that make sense?

I have v 0.95 of Repetier-Host...where is "Loops" located. I looked in the configs, no luck?

He may be referring to Slicer configuration settings. "Skirt and Brim".

Sorry, under the Slicer Tab, click on the "Configure" Button. When the page opens, click on the "Print Settings" Tab. Under this tab click on the "Skirt and Brim" line. When this opens, set the "Loops" register to "0".
