So, I saw, somewhere (probably reddit) that this company was selling high quality ABS filament and had a discount on it since they just introduced it and I decided to give it a whirl and buy some. Previously, I have been printing using Octave Grey ABS and most stuff comes out pretty good, but I've had some issues. So when I finally got this stuff unpackaged and loaded the printer with it this morning, I was amazed. First, the filament itself is much more flexible than the Octave. I was actually a bit worried that it might have some issues extruding, but there were 0. Second, the size of the filament is spot on. I pulled about 20 meters off and measured 1.75+-.01mm. I didn't have a lot of time this morning so I just printed off a quick 5mm step calibration cube. The only thing different between these two prints is the filament size. both sliced in slic3r, printed at 240C, and what a difference. The very tip actually came out square instead of slightly rounded, and the dimensions are much more uniform than the Octave filament, being low by almost exactly 1%, which is damn near perfect for ABS. The surface is also much smoother, which is not surprising considering the much smaller size variation of the filament. Here are some side by sides of the cubes.
