No heat to bed or extruder.

I just finished assembly of my V2 Max last night {Yayyy, but I'm not posting to brag}
I seem to have one of the first V6 Onyx and I have wired everything up as shown in the manual.
Same/similar to V5, LED across the Heat 0 connections on Rambo board, etc.

At power on there was a blank LCD screen, which after MUCH checking of wires and cables turned out to be the contrast pot on the back of the board needing a twiddle.

Arduino EEPROM firmware load and repetier host install all went fine, it goes to home, manual controls in repetier host all work, it even "dry run" pretends to print the peek fan shroud that I downloaded.

There is NO HEAT to the bed, repetier shows whatever target temp I set as a goal, but it never moves from room temp.
The thermistor works - if I Hold my hand on the onyx for 10 seconds or so repetier host shows the temperature climbing.
Same thing on the extruder, though I am less concerned about that for the moment since I am doing dry runs without filament.

The 12 volts on all the black/yellow pairs of the power connector to the Rambo are all good.
There is no voltage on HEAT 0 or on HEAT 2 - i.e. the Rambo just isn't putting out.

The red LED on the RAMBO board does light when I turn on the heat bed fan via manual control in repetier host.

I should mention that I haven't connected fans yet, since I haven't printed fan shrouds - I don't THINK this should matter, but as it is the only "incomplete" in my build I mentioned it.

I just checked the on board fuses as detailed here;

Those are all good, I thought it worth linking to that thread.

RegB, nothing pops out based on your description. Sounds like power in but no power out. Could you post:

a photo of your Rambo with all connections in place
a copy of your Configuration.h

Maybe that will uncover something.

You're going to want to check the voltage at the inputs and at the bed and Hotend outputs with a meter.
If you have the board set for USB power almost everything you describe will work If there is no power to it, the one exception I think is the light under the mosfets, but I could be wrong about that not being on the logic circuit.

Thanks guys, I appreciate your inputs.

Polygonshell,
There is NO VOLTAGE out at Heat0 or at Heat2 of the terminal strip, so it seems pointless looking for it at the hoped for destinations of hot end and onyx.

mhackney,
other than my MESSY wiring job the board looks exactly like Gene's - BTW it is a Rambo 1.3

I had a support call with SeeMe CNC about this today.
It seems like this is a new one to them (-:

It was suggested that I download the firmware again, which I did.
I also downloaded a fresh copy of Repetier_Host, did a program uninstall of the old one, deleted residual folders, etc and installed it fresh.

I ran the EEPROM_clear routine, then uploaded the Repetier.ino
Lights flashed, it seemed to accept it, but there is no improvement.

In all this I "noticed" that Repetier_Host is V0.95F - - and the Repetier.ino
is in a zip file we are instructed to get named Repetier-091-ROSTOCKMAX-master.
The file starts with "experimental 0.91 firmware for ROSTOCK MAX"

It may mean nothing, but I'm thinking "revision incompatibility".

I'll get back to JJ in the morning.

No "revision incompatibility", that's just the way they numbered them.

Well... embarrassing as these things always are...
Gotta admit that I had *_FAILED_* to relay a critical symptom yesterday, both here and to JJ.

When first switched on the LCD panel would flash approximately room temperature at NOZ:
then quickly change to "def".
I had thought nothing of it, but asked JJ this morning if it meant def(ault) or def(ect).
Not sure he answered the question PRECISELY, but he did tell me that the hot end thermistor was probably either open circuit or shorted.
It made perfect sense, lack of temp sense SHOULD inhibit heater power out.
That was in a phone call when I was away from home, so I t/s it when I got in.
Yeah, sloppy workmanship had struck.
Always happens when I HURRY.

There never seems to be time to do it right, but we always find time to do it over.
