Talk about a crappy roll of filament

As my spool of filament started to unroll, i noticed that it was really crappy. No problems with the extrusion so far, just the way it was wrapped.

I purchased it from DX.

I do believe the pictures will speak for themselves.

I am at %95 of a 45 hour print. I do hope it doesnt block up before the end.

I have found it best to contact the mfg before calling them out on an open forum.
Things go wrong sometimes. It's how the mfg handles the problem that's the important thing...

It was bought from DX more than a year ago.

I am sensitive to bashing manufacturers on forums. However with sites such as DX you do not know where the origin is. I have ordered mutliple times the same item and on occasions i have recieved the same item manufactured by different manufacturers.

Not bashing anyone really as DX is not a manufacturer and some of the stuff that they sell tends to be of lower quality, but i will contact them.


My print did fail at %98. The filament stopped going through the extruder, i do not know why. Probably there was a thing spot or a kink somewhere and the EZstruder ground it thin and lost grip.
