Z axis manual control incredibly slow... strange noise?

Post by craftymethod »

[Rostock Max V2]

Hey guys... im pre use calibrating atm. the commands seem to send it going around quite fine (even up and down) but manually controlling the Z axis's up and down seems really really slow and there is a low buzzing noise.

Can anyone spot the problem? im just about to upload my scripts I think in the v2 manual.

That sounds right, yep. You have to tell your host program how fast to move it, and Cartesian printers move slow, so the programs usually have a "safe" value set out of the box.
